Bret, a local native to the Portland area, founded Hillside Landscape Maintenance in the spring of 1997. He comes from a family of self employed individuals but the family businesses were not his cup of tea, so he decided to go in a whole new direction. He has always had a love of the outdoors so what better place to work outside than the wonderful Pacific Northwest!

The company started off by providing basic lawn care services to a few family members, and that led to a small number of neighboring clients and through word of mouth things began to grow. The whole foundation of the company is very simple: Provide a good value for a quality service that people can count on. Over 2 decades later, that simple philosophy has helped the company grow to provide service to over 300 commercial and residential properties all over the Portland and Vancouver metro areas every week. We have also been awarded the Angie’s List super service award in multiple categories every year since 2009.
